Nail Cutters
What makes EDJY different from regular nail clippers?
EDJY uses a single, sharp blade inspired by precision tools like kitchen knives and surgical scalpels, ensuring clean cuts without jagged edges or fly-aways.
Is EDJY suitable for all nail types?
Absolutely! EDJY is designed to handle all nail types, from thick to delicate, ensuring a smooth and precise cut every time.
How long does the blade stay sharp?
Our blade is engineered to stay sharp for multiple lifetimes (tested to over 150,000 cuts), eliminating the need for frequent replacements.
Why does EDJY make separate cutters for fingernails and toenails?
Fingernails and toenails are shaped differently, so one cutter can’t truly do both jobs well. Toenails are typically thicker and flatter, and they’re harder to reach, so the EDJY Toenail Cutter is larger, ergonomically curved, and built with a wider cutting gap and a toenail-shaped double-radii blade for cleaner cuts on thicker nails. It also features a shorter, retracting lever for better top-down visibility and more comfortable hand positioning while trimming toes.
Fingernails, on the other hand, are thinner and more curved, so the EDJY Fingernail Cutter is designed with a smaller gap and tighter radii for maximum precision and control.
By designing two specialized tools instead of a “one-size-fits-all” cutter, EDJY delivers a cleaner cut, better ergonomics, and a more comfortable trimming experience for both nail types.
How to wreck your EDJY?
EDJY stays precision sharp for a lifetime when used as designed: on human nails only. Cutting metal—or anything other than a human nail—will damage the blade.
EDJY delivers smooth, clean cuts for a lifetime because it has a thin, ultra-sharp, hardened steel blade. That level of precision means it's the opposite of a wire cutter—don’t use it like one.

Can I cut polish without chipping?
Yes! While we aren't able to test every possible product or situation, we've extensively tested EDJY with various nail polishes and have found that it consistently cuts cleanly through polish without chipping.
Does EDJY catch 100% of the cuttings?
No. EDJY does three things to capture the clippings: 1. Our clippings cavity is directly behind the blade edge and is designed to capture your clippings. When you’re done, simply turn the device upside down and the clippings can be disposed of. 2. We angle the shape of our blade edge to draw your clipping into the clippings cavity behind the blade which will minimize stray clippings. 3. Lastly, our blade is super sharp so we use a lot less force to cut your nails - they simply don’t have much energy after they’re cut. All that said, dehydrated nails, and lots of other factors will affect EACH cut and each clipping. EDJY Nail Cutters will be tidier than our competition but you still shouldn’t cut your nails next to somebody’s coffee cup. Check out our blog post for more info: Nail Care Tips
Does EDJY work on fingernails with tight curves?
Like most of us, EDJY loves tight curves. However, the EDJY Nail Cutter has more relaxed curves on our blades to support a wider variety of fingernail shapes. The EDJY Nail Cutter will certainly work on fingernails that are more curved - you’ll just need to shape the nail a bit more to work with our curves.
Why does the EDJY Toenail Cutter catch fewer nail cuttings than the Fingernail Cutter?
The EDJY Toenail Cutter uses a shorter lever that was designed to improve top-down visibility while trimming. This design prioritizes clear sightlines and control, which can result in fewer nail cuttings being captured compared to the Fingernail Cutter.

Tweezers
Why do my tweezers keep slipping on fine hairs?
Most tweezers slip because the tips are misaligned or the arms flex under pressure, so they pinch the hair instead of gripping it. EDJY uses rigid arms and precision-aligned tips to hold contact on the hair, pulling short and fine hairs clean from the root in fewer passes.
Can EDJY tweezers grip short and fine hairs that other tweezers miss?
Yes. Gripping short, fine, and stubborn hairs is what EDJY is engineered to do. Precise tip alignment, a longer contact area, and laser-etched pads let the tips catch hairs that slide out of conventional tweezers, removing them clean from the root instead of breaking them mid-shaft.
Are EDJY tweezers good for shaping eyebrows and detail grooming?
Yes. EDJY tweezers are built for precision work like brows, facial hair, and fine detail grooming. The aligned tips and laser-etched pads give a clean, controlled pull exactly where standard tweezers tend to slip or need multiple attempts, so you catch the hair on the first try.
What are EDJY tweezers made of?
EDJY tweezers are made from hardened stainless steel rated HRC 50+, which resists wear and bending so the tips stay aligned. The gripping pads are laser-etched for a more secure hold, and each pair is precision-manufactured for consistent tip contact from the first pull to the last.
Do EDJY tweezers stay aligned and keep their grip over time?
Yes. EDJY tweezers are engineered to hold their grip. Hardened HRC 50+ steel resists wear and bending, rigid arms reduce tip splaying under pressure, and tight manufacturing tolerances keep the tips meeting precisely, so performance stays consistent rather than degrading the way cheaper tweezers do.
Are hand-filed tweezers better than machined tweezers?
Hand-filing can produce excellent tweezers, but it introduces variation between pairs, which is why premium brands inspect every unit under a microscope. EDJY machines its tips on precision CNC equipment, so alignment is built into the process and every pair performs identically.
Are EDJY tweezers good for professional use?
Yes. Brow artists, estheticians, lash technicians, and makeup artists use tweezers more often and more demandingly than most people. EDJY's rigid arms and aligned tips resist the flexing and slipping that slow professionals down, delivering repeatable grip pair after pair for high-frequency, detail-critical work.
Where are EDJY tweezers made?
EDJY tweezers are engineered and built in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Domestic manufacturing lets EDJY hold tight tolerances on tip alignment and quality control, which is what keeps the grip consistent from one pair to the next. Made in the USA.
What tip shape are EDJY tweezers, and what are they best for?
EDJY tweezers have a slant tip engineered for precise alignment along the full contact area. The angled edge makes them versatile for everyday grooming, from shaping brows to catching stray and fine hairs, and the longer contact area grips more of each hair for a clean pull where pointed or flat tips tend to slip.

Why do we use USPS for shipments?
At EDJY, we’re committed to offering the highest quality products at the fairest possible price. Our precision-engineered fingernail cutter is proudly made in the USA, backed by a lifetime warranty, and ships free to customers in all 50 states.
One way we do this is by carefully managing shipping costs. On average, USPS services are significantly more affordable than UPS or FedEx for small packages like ours. For example: while USPS typically costs us around $4–$6 per package, UPS and FedEx rates for the same deliveries are often $12 or more.
USPS may not always match the speed or online tracking accuracy of premium carriers like UPS or FedEx. But USPS delivers reliable, efficient service—and at a price that allows us to keep EDJY affordable for everyone.
If you ever experience an issue with delivery, our support team is here to help. Just call us at +1-208-418-1298 or email support@edjy.com and we’ll make it right.
Can I expedite shipping?
Of course! But we only cover standard USPS Ground Advantage shipping. Select UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail at checkout to expedite your order.
